Soma has been a classic blend ever since the early days of barismo. The name references the pleasure inducing drug from the dystopian novel Brave New World. We design the blend with a Guatemalan coffee as the base to build soft aromatics, fruit, and body, then a Kenyan coffee as the minority component to build in just enough acidity to make the flavor pop. Once again for this holiday season we have also added in just a bit of El Xalum Yellow Bourbon, which is a honey process, for an added layer for fruit and richness.
