We have been working with Arango for the last several years to import some really great coffees. This lot from producer Jose Flores is no exception. He has been a farmer his entire life, but a coffee producer only since he bought El Silencio back in 2016.

Out of 5,000 coffee trees, only half are currently old enough to produce coffee—all of which are of the delicate Chiroso varietal. The smaller scale of Jose’s farm and operation allow him to really focus on the health of his trees and monitor all stages of harvest and processing.
